Soxxx Advanced Awards Voting

 

 

Most Valuable Player: The Most Valuable Player Award should go to the single player that defines what being a Soxxx player is all about. This person may not have the best stats, we have a separate award for that, but their contribution to the team gave us a chance to win games. This person is at practice on Saturday morning. This player is at games on time. Most importantly the MVP knows the meaning of playing team ball - no EGO is involved.

 

Best Statistics Award: The Best Statistic Award should go to the player with the best overall stats on the team. This award is not just about Home Runs or RBIs but how often does the person get on-base (On-base percentage). How often do they hit in the clutch (RBIs). And how often did the player get on base and allow a team member to bring them in (Runs Scored). 

 

Most Improved Player Award: The most improved Player Award should go to the player that made the most progress from the beginning of the season training to the last game of the season. This player worked hard in practice to learn the game the way Soxxx plays it. This person did what they were taught to do in practice. The winner of this award is the answer to the question: Who worked hardest to get better for the sake of the team?

 

Best Defensive Player Award: This is our newest award. This award should go to the player that has played solid defense throughout the entire season. This does not mean the player with the least amount of errors. This is the player that stood in when a ball was hit hard at them. The Best Defensive Player may have made errors but stayed in the play after the error was made. The Defensive Player Award should go to the player that people just tried to not hit the ball at.

 

Each player gets a single vote. Players cannot vote for Coach Dugger or Judee Dugger. Owners cannot win owner awards :) 

 

Players that played on the men's team are required to submit four votes for the Soxxx Men Awards.

 

ladies that played on the Soxxx Co-ed team are required to submit Eight votes. Four for the Soxxx Coed Men Awards and four for the Soxxx Co-ed female awards.

 

Players that played on both the Co-ed and Men teams are required to submit twelve votes. All votes are submitted by text message. The Coach will add up the votes as they are submitted using Excel. The player with the most votes will be awarded during the End of season Soxxx party.
